Who We Are?

Preamble

We, the members of the Association of the Francophone African Diaspora – USA, convinced of the necessity to establish and consolidate fraternal ties among nationals from Francophone African countries in North America and elsewhere. Aware of the need to promote the defense and protection of our common interests and to foster the fulfillment of our cultural and human values. Noting that the African Diaspora throughout the entire world forms another region of the continent, after ECOWAS and the AES of West Africa, ECCAS – CEMAC of Central Africa, COMESA for the Southeast and UMA for the North. Vigorously concerned with promoting any effort that is favorable to the cause of successful integration through immigration procedures here in the United States and elsewhere, the socio-economic development of immigrants, humanitarian assistance in all its forms, and the protection of the environment here and elsewhere, we have decided to establish an Association of a strictly apolitical and non-profit nature.

Our Goals

The Association of the French-Speaking African Diaspora – USA aims to:

- Bring together individual members and collective members (associations) residing in North America who have in common the use of the French language or who practice French of African origin;
- Promote the French language and cultural and linguistic diversity (dialects);
- Promoting peace, democracy, and human rights through the integration of the diaspora by mobilizing its economic potential;
- Advise and direct immigration cases to legal assistance structures;
- Encourage the diaspora to entrepreneurship and solidarity through strong involvement in economic exchanges between the countries of origin and North America;
- Developing cooperation in the service of sustainable development;
- Cooperate with any international organization and/or Associations pursuing similar objectives in the world to promote “jumelage” between organizations;
- Protect environmental law, through the prevention of pollution, management of ecosystems and restoration against all ecological disturbances in all its Forms by promoting the protection of the natural environment.

Our team comprises dedicated professionals and volunteers who are passionate about making an impact in our communities. We work tirelessly to ensure that our programs and services are meeting the needs of those we serve.

Hady Diallo

President

He represents and commits the Association while ensuring its proper functioning. He also directs activities, manages expenses, organizes meetings and develops partnerships.

SUNUNU BAH

Vice President

He assists and temporarily replaces the president in his absence. He also participates in the development and implementation of programs, and must consult the president before any important decision.

FATOUMATA BINTA DIALLO

Executive Secretary

She is responsible for safeguarding the association's documents and material assets. She also writes the minutes of all board meetings and general assemblies.

John Doe

Operations Coordinator

He coordinates the association's activities in agreement with the board. He may create and dissolve working committees as needed.

Mamadou Adama Diallo

External Affairs and Tech. Officer

He manages the association's communication and IT while enhancing visibility, serves as ambassador to domestic and foreign partners, and develops strategic collaboration opportunities.

SALAMATA DIALLO

Treasurer

The treasurer oversees all finances, manages records, budgets, bank accounts, and financial reporting to the board. They ensure compliance, file taxes (Form 990), safeguard against fraud, and maintain the organization's financial integrity and transparency.
